Women of the Way

Who are "Women of the Way?"

WOW seeks to reflect the overarching message at FPCN of God's unconditional love and grace extended to all people.  Our primary purpose is to foster Christian education, spiritual growth and caring fellowship among women.

Each gathering includes a time for fellowship, teaching or devotional reflection and facilitated small group discussion, and our study sources alternate between Scripture and other Christian-based books and study guides.  Women are encouraged to deepen their understanding of the Christian faith and to apply their knowledge to both inward change and outward expression.  The challenge posed is not only, "What do I believe?" but “What difference does this make in my daily living?"  The atmosphere of loving fellowship in our WOW gatherings fosters learning and trust where growth can happen.

Women of the Way Fall Bible Study
We're excited to come together for a 7-week study of selected Psalms beginning in the first week of October and running through the third week of November. Our resource will be Psalms by Hope Blanton and Christine Gordon, a study guide which includes good contextual material and questions for discussion and is written in a voice that feels relevant for today.  As for the book of Psalms, it's been referred to as an "anatomy of the soul" as it delves into the full range of human emotions and conveys the message that no experience is outside the range of God's love and redemption.  In these times of division and fear, the Psalms can lift us closer to God's compassionate and healing heart.
