Hurricane Ian Relief

In response to the devastation caused from Hurricane Ian, the Session has approved the creation of a Hurricane Ian Relief Fund (HIRF) which is open to receive donations that will be distributed to agencies providing relief, based on recommendations from the Missions Committee.

Although the church fared well, a good number of members and families have suffered flooding damage and/or lost vehicles. Therefore, we are also encouraging contributions to the Pastor’s Emergency Assistance Fund, which is available on a confidential basis to assist individuals who are connected to our congregation with emergency expenses. If you are or know of someone who is in need of assistance, please email either Rev. Craig Goodrich or Sharman Pfaus or call 239.262.1311.

You may donate to these funds either online, by cash, or by check. Click the "Give Now" button on the right to donate.  Please designate which fund your donation is to be given to: Hurricane Ian Relief Fund or Pastor’s Emergency Assistance Fund.

We would encourage you to prayerfully consider donating to both funds. For additional information on these funds and how you contribute, please email Debbie Savage, Director of Finance or call 239.262.1311.

Make a Pledge

This year the theme for our our Generosity Campaign is "The Greatest of These: Love Never Ends," familiar and encouraging words drawn from that wonderful chapter 13 of the apostle Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians.

Your pledge, which is a good faith intention, enables us to budget and plan, but first and foremost it is an expression of discipleship, gratitude and love. We give with love in response to God's love in Christ Jesus.  Paul closes his letter with this encouraging exhortation: "Keep alert, stand firm, be courageous, be strong.  Let all that you do be done in love." 1 Corinthians 16:13-14.  Good words for these days!

Palms Society

The Palms Society is a way to honor those who include the church in their long-range gift and estate plans. This approach not only provides a method of recording the intent of members, but provides an opportunity to express ongoing appreciation to our donors.

When we look back on our lives, we think of those persons and places that have meant the most to us. Has First Presbyterian Church been such a place for you? Has this community of grace and its people nurtured your soul? Would you like to assure that the ministries of our Church which proclaim the love of God in Jesus Christ in word and deed continue for future generations? If so, please consider joining the Palms Society and becoming a legacy donor. For information please contact our Director of Finance, Debbie Savage or Linda Gadkowski. Grace and peace to you.
